I post quite a lot of images to my Facebook pages and a few to the 500px photography site. I thought I'd start rounding up a compilation of the more popular shots from the last week as a regular Blog feature. This is my first try...
Image: Micki the Great Grey Owl, from a shoot in the Czech Republic earlier this month.. She's owned by Helena Kuchynkova who runs a rescue centre for birds of prey in Southern Bohemia. Canon EOS 1DX, EF200mm f/2L IS, 1/200th sec @ f/2, ISO 640, tripod
Image: A Magpie in very early morning light. A very pastel image. Canon EOS 5D Mark III, EF300mm f/2.8L IS + 1.4x III, 1/1600 sec @ f/5, ISO 1600, tripod, hide
Image: Buzzards are one of my nemesis birds. They're usually pretty wary of people so it can be pretty frustrating trying to get a decent picture. This one had obviously not read the Buzzard vs Photographer Training Manual as it flew towards me for once, before disappearing into the distance. Taken in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. Canon EOS 1DX, EF500mm f/3L IS II + 1.4x, 1/2000 sec @ f/8, ISO 1600
Image: A Grey Heron just after sunset.. Canon EOS 5D Mark III, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II, 1/400 sec @ f/4.5, ISO 800, tripod, hide.
A Male Reed Bunting hanging about in... reeds, surprisingly. Taken at Rainham Marshes, Essex, UK.
Canon EOS 5D Mark III, EF500mm f/4L IS II + 1.4x, 1400 sec @ f/6.3, ISO 1250, tripod
