Images shot in darkness or near darkness were the order of the day today. The first is without flash, the second with. I've used various gels on the flash to match the colour temperature of the tungsten backlight. This results in a constant colour temperature throughout the image. The final feel of the image is then determined by setting the white balance on the camera. I've either left it uncorrected to retain the warm tones of the orange lights, or in some cases used a white balance of 3200K to correct the orange to natural colours.
